Circus-13 Comics
Here
are some of my stories and characters I have been working on for
over ten years. I created the world just after I got out
of high school, trying to find anyone in my home town to draw the
stuff I had written. I couldn't find a single person who
was willing to draw my stuff. They might take a couple cracks
at the characters, then develop a sudden interest in their own
stuff again and leave me hanging. The bastards.
So I decided, after a long time, to try my hand at writing movies. Got
a couple written, but then turned my hand to radio drama, which I CAN
produce on my own, hence this website. Anyway, here are a lot of the
characters that you may recognize as from current (and future) Circus-13
radio dramas..
Brother
Mercy was one of my earliest (and favorite) creations, which is
why I adopted his name as my moniker for my first e-mail account. He
is a former priest whose faith was tested, heavily, by his sister's
downfall into drugs, depression, and eventual suicide.
Now Heaven wants him to be a soldier for them, combating the
forces of Hell on a more personal level than he did as a priest. And
Hell wants him for their side because of how Heaven failed him in the
first place.
Mr.
Halloween is the son of a Vampire and a Werewolf. How is
this possible, you might ask? Easy, I decided I liked the
idea that vampires and werewolves didn't have to fit in with all
the "normal"
rules of legends and cultures, so I made up my own legends.
Mr. Halloween is also my world's eminent sorcerer. No one is
better at magick than Mr. Halloween. His path crosses with Brother
Mercy occasionally since they both deal with the occult in different
ways.
Randall
Parks decided to break into the best technological laboratory in
the world, ATLAS Labs (Advanced Technology, Laser and Armor Services)
to find something to steal and sell. He figured if he could
sell some ATLAS tech on the black market, he'd be set for life.
What he didn't count on was the fact that something ATLAS had
picked up that had crashed to the earth wanted to talk to HIM.
The picture on the right is of Randall (the blonde one standing up) and David Doranan, his partner.
Below are Assault's two eventual teammates, Onslaught and Diehard (left to right) in the team Damage Ordinance Alliance (D.O.A.). Funny how the initials of the names of the members and the initials of the team name are the same, huh?
NOT! The fourth member of the team, Fathom, will be appearing soon.
Rage was one of my first characters, a Native American spy turned rogue agent and "super-hero." He was genetically altered to be a better spy, but when he didn't do what his bosses wanted, they took it out on his family.
James "Jay" Bearclaw took his revenge on his former employers and disappeared for a time to get his head right. He eventually returns to Chicago and meets up with Assault, Diehard and Onslaught for a story.
But that will come later.
Nazha McGillot, the daughter of an Irish Army Intelligence Officer and an Egyptian Mossad Agent, grew up knowing the problems of combining two very different cultures. She became a Mossad Agent when she came of age, after her parents were killed by terrorists in a bombing of a temple.
Her last assignment for the Mossad (before leaving them to join a group called The Wilde Faction), was to recover Osiris's heart.
A visitor from the year 3050, Whiplash (real name unknown) is an agent for a group called CRONOS. CRONOS is the time police in the future. Whiplash has decided to stay in our time to get away from her boss at CRONOS and attempt to ruin his life before he is born.
Too bad that she has to fight Assault to do it.
